Snowdon International Mountain Race
Matt Jones finished in 89 place with a time of 1:30. Conditions were poor on the day providing an even greater challenge on the decent.
This was a spectacular event and a chance to test your self against some of the best fell runners from Europe. Entrees for 2011 will be available on 1 March 2011.
Cannock Chase forest 6 hour ultra race
Steve Saunders produced a fine demonstration of his mental and physical fortitude to take 2nd place.
In his own inimitable words . . .
A not yet fully fit steve saunders ran the cannock chase forest 6 hour ultra race on the 25th july covering a total distance of 33.76 miles finishing in second place in 5hours 52minutes. I burnt off 3640 calories in the race and i rate it as hard as carsington. Cheers Steve.

Brassington Wakes Fell Race
What a great little fell race tucked away in the heart of rural Derbyshire. Despite the low number of runners, around 40 in total, this was a keenly contested race.
With several potential bottle necks early on it was always going to be a fast and furious start. Ripley set of with intention and it was a rare and precious moment to witness three green and gold shirted runners leading the way for the first mile. Wayne contesting second spot with Mick and running out of his comfort zone was eventually pegged back, finishing in a respectable 6th place. Mick held on to take 4th place overall and 1st vet 40. Matt who led from the start finished a minute clear of the field to record his first win. He was aptly rewarded with a bottle of reduced alcohol wine and a sheep on a pendent. Johnny who seems to be improving with every race also ran a blinder finishing strongly in 8th place. Well done also to Antony the 5th and final member of RRCs quintet.
